The mining industry in Chile has been historically the most significant economic activity in the country. Mining has been the main source of economic growth and development for the country. This sector accounts for approximately 10% of Chiles GDP during the last century.
Several studies regarded to the local development of the Chilean industry establish that the future of mining business requires a greater participation of technology and knowledge management to strengthen its competitive advantages (Cochilco, 2009a 2009b Salas, 2013 CSiro, 2014 FCh, 2014).

Jun 20, 2020 This paper starts by showing that Chile and Malaysia are on the path of escaping the middle-income trap in terms of their income level relative to that of the USA.
